1500 miles in two days. Whoa!
by CynthiaWe left Washington DC Sunday morning at about 11, a little later that we anticipated. The drive through Virginia wasn’t as bad as before since we had really clear skies this time. We reached a Walmart in Jackson Tennessee at 1am Monday morning, 13 hours of driving. We just wanted a place to park to rest for the night. Even though there were other RVs in the parking lot I went to see the manager and make sure that it was ok. He was fine with it and even suggested where to park so that the morning crew wouldn’t wake us at 7 am. We left about 8:30 to get on the road which would be about 11 hours on the road to get to our destination. We decided to stop at Sonny’s RV park in Lexington for the night to get some water and hook up for the night. We would be at our land in Thrall which has no water or electricity. We would be on generator for power when we need it and the propane would be for cooking and showers. We will be here for a while until we can really be on the road longer but we will update the adventures we have here since our RV is still home to us.
