America is a powerful country because of its people and their drive for personal success.  That very drive is the creator of American business.  Our willingness to bet it all on our ideas and to succeed and fail of our own is the American dream so many came here to discover.  This dream is based solely on freedom.  We aren’t talking about just personal freedom,  but freedom in their business, freedom in their process, and the freedom to barter with others.

This American dream flows like a freeway of commerce.  The idea of a freeway is to create a wide, straight, and simple path where you can travel your journey efficiently.  You create a 6 lane freeway with a traffic flow in mind.  The right lane is for business ventures entering the commerce flow and failed businesses a path to exit safely.  The middle lane is for those who have moved their business from the rocky startup phase to a business model that is starting to cash flow.  The dream is being realized slowly and steadily.  The left lane is the fast lane.  This is where you come when you have a model of success and its time to make it really move.  You can spread your business to other parts of the country and other types of customers.  This is just like driving.  You expect the left lane to be the express lane for the “long haul”.

Socialism does a very bad thing for the American dream.  Think of it this way.  You are driving into work in the left lane.  You are cruising at 74 mph.  Let’s be honest.  You want to drive 80 mph.  The speed limit is 70 mph but you don’t want to get a ticket.  You know you have 30 miles on your journey and it is a straight shot there.  Common sense tells you to be in the left lane.  The least amount of stopping and starting happens in the left lane, by design.  Along comes a car, lets call it an electric car, who has a 5 minute journey but wants to be in the left lane because they like how there is “never anyone in front of them”.  Here they come.  The moved from the right lane, over the middle, and finally to the left lane where they have set their cruise control at a hearty 60 mph.

What happens next, chaos.  In order for the proven left-laners to continue along their way at the speed limit of business, they must move over to the middle lane or even the right lane to pass.  They must now inject the 70 mph business stream into the middle 60 mph business traffic or even the 55 mph right lane business traffic.  This can create frustration on all business drivers and even safety concerns for businesses themselves.

Why is the electric car in the left lane in the first place?  The electric car has a 5 minute journey with a business model that doesn’t equal the left lane.  They can’t travel at 70+ mph but they are still there.  They are there because they feel it is unfair.  It isn’t right in their mind that some get to travel faster than others.  ”It isn’t fair that some businesses get to be more successful than others.”

Business isn’t fair.  It can’t be fair.  Everyone doesn’t succeed.  Not everyone can.  Not every idea is a good idea.  You have to have a GOOD idea.  You have to dedicate the time and effort to promoting and perfecting your business.  You have to have something that people want to buy.

Socialism has destroyed business and the American dream itself because socialism exists to destroy business and success.  It’s purpose is to throw ball bearings into the greased gears of a society.  It tells those who have given up that they are entitled to success.  It tells those who are lazy that they are entitled to compete with those who have spent every waking hour working on their success.

The next time you are in a traffic jam, ask yourself, is this what I really want for my country?

Let me start by saying, I will not be joining Google+.  Google’s “+” is nothing more than Google playing catch-up.  Their strategy was to be the place to go to get anything.  What they didn’t notice was just being the place to get anything wasn’t the Holy Grail.  You actually want to be the method by which people communicate anything.  Keeping track of what people want or are looking for is a wealth of knowledge, to be sure.  Knowing who you communicate to and what you communicate about is the Holy Grail.

Google is creating the database the government isn’t “allowed” to create.  Facebook cut Google off with a forward looking model..  If you capture/control the “how” before the “what”, you can ultimately control and affect the “what”.

Google/Facebook – How hard would it be to slow down or make unavailable posts/results of what you request/communicate and speed up or inject targeted information from what you request/communicate?  Let’s say you want to organize a conservative meeting of like minded individuals in your area.  You post it to Facebook/Google.  How do you know anyone is seeing it?  How do you know your friends aren’t seeing something modified of what you typed or even worse something completely opposite of what you had said.  Your friends might see that  you don’t want to attend any conservative meetings or that you have thought about switching sides….

Indirect communication isn’t communication.  It is assumed communication.  I post here, because I control the software I post with.  I control the server I am hosted on.  I control the email I communicate out on (unless you use gmail……hint hint…)

This blog is about me being me…. loud, pointed, direct, honest, and truthful!  I am speaking OUT!  This is a way for me to share with those whom I can’t do the thing we, as a people, need to do NOW more than any time in the past…….. vocalize…  talk…..actually talk to someone directly and have a face to face conversation.

Don’t assume free speech extends when you don’t actually speak the words………  Google/Facebook are determined to make sure it doesn’t….

I am going to start spilling my brain on the internets again but without the face of facebook. I know where fb is going and I am not going to participate. I envision fb starting to coral people into places they would prefer not going. If you believe you are not the tool for social interaction but actually the very layer of social interaction, you can’t possibly control the “power” it gives you….. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts, absolutely. 

Fb needs to make money. I don’t deny them this… It is the coming method that I wish to not participate in. If you can target advertising, you can charge more for your ads. If you can FORCE targeted advertising, you can charge a LOT more. Suppose, for example, that you complained about how your dishes just don’t get clean anymore. FB recognizes your text and offers Dawn soap a chance at gaining a customer for high fee. Dawn says sure. Why wouldn’t they want more business? FB then looks through all your friends first, to see if anyone has any posts they can use. If so, those posts appear on your news feed where others would have been. You can already see where fb is not showing you all the posts of your friends… How do they decide which ones you see??? Perhaps fb plops a news story on your news feed about how Dawn was used to clean the birds after the Exxon spill. This is a very simple and crude example but one that could certainly happen.

I won’t participate. I prefer to interact with people and then just write what I want to publicly “announce” on here.

Take it to the next level. If you have an agenda, you can force people, unknowingly, towards your agenda. If someone doesn’t like 0bama, you can carefully limit the number of posts to your news feed from those at agree with you and just funnel those who oppose. Many people would rather blend in than stand opposed. Social, digital peer pressure…. What better delivery method than the social transport layer itself…. If you are translating from one language to another, you could easily change a few words around and completely change the meaning. How would they know?
